    Ritmi Rruges
Ritmi i Rrugës is one of the most popular and successful Albanian rap group, which also pioneered the genre and coined the term Albanian Rap, to describe this merger of Rap music with original Albanian-themed lyrical contents. Members of the group are Memli Krasniqi and Arbër Reçi. They formed Ritmi i Rrugës in 1995 and have published three albums since then.
Bota Është e Jona (The World is Ours) (2000)
    Obsesion (Obsession) (2002)
    Përjetësisht (Eternally) (2004)
Ritmi i Rrugës have had a great number of hit singles and they have performed all over Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and throughout Europe, in front of huge, largely Albanian audiences.
Ritmi i Rrugës's music has been recently undermined by several succesful rap crews, most prominent of them being N'r. RR has been critisized for the increasingly religious tone of the lyrics, written by Memli Krasniqi, who has recently become prominent supporter of revival of Muslim faith within Kosova Albanian community

Nice beat was nice, but weak lyrics. Watz up with Milot always sayin "Nigga"? He said it on Bloody Alboz song, but I thought he was just a kid back than.. like 3 yrs ago.. but now?? That's gay shit, it ruins the whole song, I kinda liked it in the beginning, but he's still... I don't wanan use the word immiture, but close to it.

Listen to his Song here >>>>>>

Albanian born artist Milot Krasniqi is generating an undeniable buzz in the Underground New York City Rap & Hip Hop Circuit. Quotes ONEDEEP Management founder Joseph “ONEDEEP” Brown, who handles Booking & Promotion for Milot, “There’s only one reason – He’s hungry”. Born in Prishtina, Kosova on September 16th, 1981 to Rexhep & Mejreme Krasniqi, both established chemists in one of the city’s laboratories, Milot was faced early on with the conflicts & oppression of a country in political and social unrest. By 1989, tensions in the region had escalated to a degree where Milot’s parents felt driven, for the sake of the family, to gather what savings they had and relocate outside of Kosova – Their move was to the United States. The transition to a new country and a new language was extremely tough on all fronts. With many obstacles against finding gainful employment and housing, initially renting a small apartment in Coney Island, Milot’s father was forced to work several jobs so his mother could care for the young children, Milot (7) and his sister (9), at home. Through struggle and persistence, his father was eventually able to secure a job in Manhattan and moved the family to Mid-Town, where they lived for 11 years, and more recently to Upper Manhattan, where they’ve been living for the past 6 years. Milot, through circumstance and conscience, began working at the age of 13 to help support the family. Looking beyond his hardships and social & financial barriers, Milot saw the chance for a better existence and was pushed, through often grim reality, to fight for what he really wanted to do in life. In the Mid 90’s, Mobb Deep’s “The Infamous” Album was an awakening inspiration and connection to Milot - he was soon writing his own rhymes with surprisingly instinctive, prolific, and natural force - from that point on Milot refers to this discovered passion as a “Wrap” on his calling in life. In 2002, Milot recorded and released an album in Kosova with a former Albanian Rap group called the “Bloody Alboz”(Bloodyalboz.com). A few of the songs on the album are still getting spins throughout the region, most notably on Prishtina’s Urban FM 103.5, hosted by well known DJ Sport Billy. Milot has had a breakout year in 2005 on the NYC Underground Scene, playing noted clubs and venues such as Webster Hall, Pyramid, Remote Lounge, and Upscalez. He is currently on the city wide “Uncrowned King Of NYC Tour” hosted by HOT 97’s DJ Megatron. The Albanian Rapper is scheduled to perform in Europe in 2006 and is currently in the studio recording tracks for his debut solo album “MILOTsophy”.

    History of Hip Hop.

Hip hop is a cultural movement that began among the mostly African American and Latino communities in the Bronx borough of New York City in the early 1970s. Portions of the culture began spreading into the mainstream during the early 1980s, and by the 1990s, hip hop culture had spread all over the world. The movement is said to have began with the work of DJ Kool Herc, while competing DJ Afrika Bambaataa is often credited with having invented the term "hip hop" to describe the culture.
The four main aspects, or "elements", of hip hop culture are MCing (rapping), DJing, graffiti, and breakdancing. Some consider beatboxing the fifth element of hip hop; others might add political activism, hip hop fashion, hip hop slang, double dutching (an urban form of rope skipping,) or other elements as important facets of hip hop. In mainstream spheres, the term "hip hop" typically refers only to hip hop music (or rap music), the music produced by the MCing and DJing aspects of hip hop culture.

Hip hop music is a style of music which came into existence in the United States during the mid-1970s, and became a large part of modern pop culture during the 1980s. It consists of two main components: rapping (MCing) and DJing (production and scratching). Along with hip hop dance (notably breakdancing) and urban inspired art, or notably graffiti, these compose the four elements of hip hop, a cultural movement that was initiated by inner-city youth, mostly African Americans[1] in New York City, in the early 1970s. Typically, hip hop music consists of intensely rhythmic lyrical form making abundant use of techniques like assonance, alliteration, and rhyme. The rapper is accompanied by an instrumental track, usually referred to as a "beat", performed by a DJ, created by a producer, or one or more instrumentalists. This beat is often created using a sample of the percussion break of another song, usually a funk or soul recording. In addition to the beat other sounds are often sampled, synthesized, or performed. Sometimes a track can be instrumental, as a showcase of the skills of the DJ or producer. Hip hop began in The Bronx, located in New York City, when DJs began isolating the percussion break from funk and disco songs. The early role of the MC was to introduce the DJ and the music and to keep the audience excited. MCs began by speaking between songs, giving exhortations to dance, greetings to audience members, jokes and anecdotes. Eventually this practice became more stylized and became known as rapping. By 1979 hip hop had become a commercially popular music genre and began to enter the American mainstream. In the 1990s, a form of hip hop called gangsta rap became a major part of American music, causing significant controversy over lyrics which were perceived as promoting violence, terrorism [2], promiscuity, drug use and misogyny. Nevertheless, by the beginning of the 2000s, hip hop was a staple of popular music charts and was being performed in many styles across the world.
